Khansa Ahnana

IT Admin & Technology Teacher

My name is Khansa Ahnana, and I am a proud Charlotte Islamic Academy alumna who attended CIA from first through twelfth grade, graduating with the Class of 2022. Completing my entire elementary through high school education at CIA allowed me to grow academically, creatively, and personally within a faith-centered learning environment that shaped my values, discipline, and passion for learning. I am currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.

I bring over three years of hands-on experience working with technology, both academically and professionally. I have my own photography business, where I actively use technology in every aspect of my work, from operating professional camera equipment and editing software to managing digital workflows, online platforms, and client communication. My background in photography allows me to blend creativity with technical skills, and I enjoy teaching students how technology can be used as a powerful tool for design, storytelling, and real-world applications.

Returning to Charlotte Islamic Academy as an educator is especially meaningful to me, as this community played a major role in shaping my educational journey. I am excited to teach Technology to students in grades 6–12, to help them build confidence, creativity, and responsibility in their use of technology. I strive to provide students with early exposure to college-level expectations by emphasizing organization, digital literacy, critical thinking, and effective communication. My goal is to prepare students not only for academic success, but also for future careers by showing them how technology connects to real-world skills, creative opportunities, and lifelong learning.
